PHRI Concludes Third FCHRM Cohort, Strengthens HR Professional Development

The Philippine HR Institute (PHRI)™ recently concluded the third cohort of its Foundation Certificate in Human Resource Management (FCHRM)™ program in July 2025. This achievement further reinforces PHRI’s commitment to building competent and future-ready HR professionals across various industries.

Spanning four Saturdays, the program once again brought together participants from both public and private sectors. Their diverse perspectives and real-world insights significantly enriched the learning experience for all.

The comprehensive course covered several important HR topics, including Strategic Human Resource Management, Learning and Development (L&D), Organizational Development, Total Rewards, Performance Management, and Labor Law and Compliance. The sessions were led by experienced professionals: Mr. Joven Reyla, Dr. Markrinello Sarical, and Atty. Eleazar Ypilan, all of whom shared knowledge drawn from their extensive years of experience in the field. The program was specifically designed to help build a strong foundation in HR, especially for those new to the profession or planning to transition into it.

One of the highlights of the cohort was the exchange of experiences among participants. Coming from varied backgrounds, including local government units and private companies across different industries, they contributed a healthy mix of insights on how HR is practiced in various sectors. This fostered more meaningful and relatable discussions for everyone involved. Looking ahead, PHRI™ plans to include a dedicated session on civil service laws. This addition aims to help future FCHRM™ graduates, especially those working in or planning to join government service, better understand public sector HR practices and regulations. It’s part of PHRI™’s ongoing goal to continuously improve the program and ensure its graduates are fully prepared for their HR journey.
