The Foundation Certificate in Human Resource Management (FCHRM®) by the Philippine HR Institute (PHRI™) officially wrapped up its Cohort 7 last January 31, 2026, marking another successful run of the program dedicated to shaping strong, competent, and future-ready HR professionals. Conducted across four Saturdays—January 10, 17, 24, and 31—the program brought together participants from both private and public institutions across the Philippines, including fresh graduates eager to begin their HR journey.
The learning experience was both diverse and dynamic. The opening session, led by Ms. Mariliza L. Arceo, introduced participants to HRM & SHRM and Talent Acquisition. With her expertise in organizational development and talent management, she provided practical frameworks that highlighted the importance of people-centered systems in modern workplaces.
On January 17, Mr. Edrian Gio Clemente guided the cohort through Learning & Development and Organizational Development. Drawing on nearly a decade of experience in corporate training and coaching, he shared strategies for designing impactful learning programs and fostering high-performance cultures.
The third session, held on January 24, featured Dr. Markrinello M. Sarical, who tackled Performance Management and Total Rewards. His academic and professional background in leadership, labor relations, and organizational development gave participants a comprehensive view of performance systems and reward strategies, blending technical knowledge with real-world applications.
The program concluded on January 31 with Philippine Labor Law and Compliance, facilitated by Atty. Eleazar Ypilan. His legal expertise and HR practice provided participants with essential knowledge on labor policies, compliance standards, and employee relations. Many attendees commended this session as one of the most impactful, noting its clarity and relevance to everyday HR practice.
A total of 25 participants successfully completed Cohort 7, representing a mix of private institutions, the education sector, public service, and fresh graduates. This diversity reflects the growing reach of PHRI’s programs and the increasing demand for HR education among both seasoned professionals and those just starting their careers.
With Cohort 7 now concluded, PHRI™ is excited to welcome the next batch of learners for Cohort 8, scheduled on February 7, 14, 21, and 28, 2026.
