FCHRM® Cohort 13 Advances Professional Growth Across Diverse Industries

The Philippine HR Institute (PHRI)™ proudly celebrates the successful completion of the Foundation Certificate in Human Resource Management (FCHRM)® Cohort 13, marking another milestone in its commitment to developing competent, ethical, and future-ready HR professionals.

Comprising 32 participants from the government, private sector, healthcare, education, finance, public service, and business sectors, Cohort 13 reflected the increasing importance of human resource management across diverse professions. The program provided a collaborative learning environment where participants exchanged experiences, broadened their perspectives, and strengthened their understanding of modern HR practices.

The learning journey commenced with Ms. Mariliza Arceo, who facilitated the sessions on Introduction to Human Resource Management (HRM) & Strategic Human Resource Management (SHRM). Through engaging discussions, participants explored the evolving role of HR as a strategic partner in achieving organizational goals and gained a strong foundation in contemporary HR principles and practices.

The second learning session was led by Dr. Markrinello Sarical, who discussed Learning & Development (L&D) and Organizational Development (OD). Participants examined strategies for developing employee capabilities, fostering organizational effectiveness, managing change, and cultivating workplace cultures that support continuous improvement.

Mr. Edrian Clemente facilitated the third session on Performance Management and Total Rewards, providing participants with practical frameworks for aligning employee performance with organizational objectives. The session also explored compensation, recognition, and rewards strategies that contribute to employee engagement, retention, and organizational success.

The program concluded with Atty. Robert Paul Arpa, who delivered the session on Philippine Labor Law and Compliance. Participants gained valuable insights into labor standards, statutory obligations, employee relations, and legal compliance, reinforcing the importance of ethical and legally sound HR practices in today’s workplace.

Throughout the program, participants demonstrated professionalism, active engagement, and a genuine commitment to continuous learning. The diversity of the cohort enriched classroom discussions, enabling participants to learn not only from the lecturers but also from one another’s experiences across various industries and organizational settings.

PHRI™ extends its warmest congratulations to the FCHRM Cohort 13. As they continue their professional journeys, the Institute remains confident that the knowledge, competencies, and professional networks they have gained will empower them to make meaningful contributions to their organizations and to the advancement of the HR profession.
