FCHRM® Cohort 8 Wraps Up: Building Future‑Ready HR Leaders

The Foundation Certificate in Human Resource Management (FCHRM®) by the Philippine HR Institute (PHRI™) successfully wrapped up Cohort 8 on February 28, 2026, marking another milestone in PHRI’s mission to develop competent, ethical, and future-ready HR professionals. Conducted across four consecutive Saturdays—February 7, 14, 21, and 28, the program brought together a dynamic mix of HR practitioners, supervisors, career shifters, and fresh graduates from various private organizations, educational institutions, and public agencies nationwide.

This cohort continued to deliver a comprehensive and practice-oriented learning experience through its carefully designed modules facilitated by respected industry experts.

The program opened on February 7 with HRM & SHRM and Talent Acquisition, led by Ms. Mariliza L. Arceo. Drawing from her strong background in organizational development and talent management, she introduced participants to the strategic role of HR in business sustainability and growth. Her session emphasized building people-centered systems and designing effective recruitment and selection strategies aligned with organizational goals.

On February 14, Mr. Edrian Gio Clemente facilitated the session on Learning & Development and Organizational Development. With nearly a decade of experience in corporate training and coaching, he shared actionable insights on developing impactful learning interventions, strengthening employee engagement, and cultivating high-performance workplace cultures. Participants particularly appreciated the practical tools and frameworks that can be directly applied within their respective organizations.

The third session, held on February 21, featured Dr. Markrinello M. Sarical, who discussed Performance Management and Total Rewards. Leveraging his expertise in leadership, labor relations, and organizational development, Dr. Sarical provided a balanced discussion on performance appraisal systems, compensation structures, and reward strategies. His session connected theory with workplace realities, helping participants understand how to drive accountability while fostering motivation and fairness.

Cohort 8 concluded on February 28 with Philippine Labor Law and Compliance, facilitated by Atty. Eleazar Ypilan. His combined legal and HR experience enabled him to clearly explain complex labor policies, compliance standards, and employee relations matters. Participants highlighted this session as highly relevant and essential, especially in navigating real-world HR challenges and ensuring organizational compliance.

A total of nine (9) participants successfully completed Cohort 8, reflecting the continued growth of PHRI’s learning community. The February cohort once again demonstrated enthusiasm, active engagement, and a strong commitment to professional development—affirming the increasing demand for structured HR education in the Philippines.

With another successful cohort completed, PHRI™ remains steadfast in its commitment to empowering HR professionals and aspiring practitioners through industry-relevant and practitioner-led programs. As the institute continues to expand its reach, it looks forward to welcoming more learners in the upcoming FCHRM® cohorts.
